• November 3, 1803 - stock appraised for Roswell Barton, living on the West fork of Grassy Creek in Pendleton County, KY.
• 14 May 1805 - John Sharp sues Roswell Barton in Pendleton County, KY for assault and battery. The jury was not able to agree on the charge and on 15 May a new jury was enpaneled which said that the defendant was guilty and awarded eighteen dollars damages to the plaintiff.1004
• 11 Mar 1807 - In the matter of James Pullin vs. Charles Boner and Roswell Barton, Chancery, the Court ruled for the plaintiff and ordered the defendants to pay $100 plus interest thereon from 1 October 1802.1005
