• 31 May 1774 - A meeting of the Justices and Freeholders called to view the bridge at Mr. Van Veghten's over the Raritan. It is agreed by this board that there shall be stone pillars built and furnished with new timbers over the river and that Mathias Teneyck and Coonrad Teneyck be the managers and have full power to carry the same into execution. (Somerset Co. Hist. Quarterly Vol. 1, p 269)

22 • First Reformed Church of Rariatan Baptism records include the baptism of a Sara Teneyt [Ten Eyck], dau of Mattewes and Nelle on 5 April 1761.
13 • This agrees with the 6 Mar 1761 birthdate of Sarah Ten Eyck, wife of Garret Tunison, given in the Tunison Family Bible
12• There are baptism records for other children of Matthew and Nelly Ten Eyck which agree with the names of children given in the will of Nelly Ten Eyck referred to previously.
