• 1774 - A John Bonar is taxable in Susquehannah Hundred, Harford Co. with taxable William Bonar in same household557. Probably the same John. His son William would have been over 18 in 1774.

Evidence
•Basic family group is given by the Harford Co., MD 1776 census. Specific dates from parish records cited in Bonar Genealogy559 page 523.
•John Boner (son) is in the Pendleton Co., KY deeds index 1794. His estate is probated to his wife, Mary, 7 Dec 1795 (Campbell Co. Order Book A).
•This Mary was Mary Thrasher (Stephen Bonar vs. Larkin Smith. Bill filed 25 Oct 1833. Pendelton Co. KY Circuit Court).
• Charles and Barnet Bonar are on the 1800 tax list of Pendleton Co., KY. Barnet d 1844 (Ref. ?).
• Charles in 1850 census of Pendleton Co. says he was b MD. Age matches the Charles who was the son of John Bonar in the 1776 Maryland Census.

Summary: The evidence collected to date on this family suggests that John and Christian Bonar moved from Maryland to Fayette Co., PA in about 1783 with their minor children. After John's death, his widow and children moved to what is now Pendleton County, KY in about 1790/92 along with a number of other Western Pennsylvania families, the Thrashers in particular.
